Land-Based Camps
Seasonal camps in partnership with Pemmican Lodge, focused on cultural teachings, environmental stewardship, movement, harvesting, renewable energy literacy, and healing. We also offer land based teachings that we can bring to your community.
Youth Leadership
Through the Sakitawahk Youth Environmental Circle (SYEC), we support youth in developing leadership through climate action, environmental skills, and pathways rooted in
community and culture.
Storytelling & Media
The Nôhcimihk podcast shares stories from the land, featuring Elders, artists, knowledge keepers, and changemakers speaking on culture, climate, identity, and healing.
Energy & Climate Work
We support community-led approaches to renewable energy, energy literacy, and environmental stewardship grounded in Indigenous rights and responsibilities.
Why This Work Matters
Northern Indigenous communities continue to experience the impacts of displacement, extractive development, and limited opportunities for youth. At the same time, our communities carry deep knowledge, strength, and solutions.
Nôhcimihk exists to support generations of land stewards, storytellers, healers, and leaders,
while creating spaces where people can slow down, reconnect, and remember who they are.

Our Compass

Our ancestors were land guardians, respecting its resources and living in balance with all things. We continue to fulfill this role.
Nohcimihk’s focus on land stewardship, storytelling, and offerings like land-based movement, camps, and wellness reflects these values.
